As you know nutrition is one of the most important factors of your health.
When we get busy we sometimes tend to opt for the unhealthy fast food options.
Sometimes when temptations win over discipline... I'll have a frozen pizza for dinner.
It's not the end of the world but not optimal either.
When I slip up like this I feel the difference in my energy.
This is also how many people get fat.
Meal prepping has helped me with this a lot.
It takes some initial effort but the benefits are absolutely worth it.
It keeps me fueled and energized, and saves a lot of time during my busy days.
Here's how I meal prep efficiently:
Step 1
Plan the meals and grocery lists for the week - I always eat the same breakfast and have 4-5 favorite meals on rotation that are simple and easy to cook.
Step 2
Shopping in bulk - To save time and avoid unnecessary purchases I buy in big batches and shop two times a week.
I'd love to get away with shopping once but that would be a lot to carry and some ingredients won't last a week.
Grocery delivery services are also great!
Step 3
Cooking in bulk - I cook big batches that will last about three days.
Yes, I eat the same meals for three days.
At the moment I'm working from home so I just keep the food in a pan in the fridge and heat it on a plate in a microwave.
If you commute to work you can portion everything out into food containers and heat it directly in the container.
What are you're eating habits like?
Are you currently meal prepping or have you tried it before?
